okay, well this past weekend I attended a TADD confrence. Whats a TADD confrence you ask, well first of all TADD=Teens against drunk driving.=P and a tadd confrence is basically like a youth confrence, youth confrences go to learn more about Jesus in an energetic way, Tadd confrences are the same, cept they learn about how to promote what we don't want to happen! you get it? well if you already did, your set.
Well this weekend I have learned alot, I did! and not only about different Ideas to promote to my school but other completely different things like slavery and sweatshops in Africa.
we had 2 different speakers that were on this team of people that go over to countries in poverty and teach kids how to speak english and build school houses, there names were Garry Norman & Erin Blanding.
The vibe they had was so fresh, so new, so enegertic, i was lucky to be one of the people in a workshop of thiers, basically they did there workshop on "7 steps to making a difference" it was amazing the ideas they had, they did all these activites to show everystep, like number 5 was create a mission statement, so they had 6 volunteers, (i was one of them) and we picked a topic and each person had to say either who where what when why and how, and they proved thats basically what a missionstatment was, doesnt sound that motavating, but its really one of those things where you had to be there, it was amazing!
So not only did i get new fresh ideas to bring home to my tadd group, but i got more ideas of how i can make a different merely in my own community!! I'm so excited!!! also, I made a some new friends! horah! can life get any better! ehehehehe
